Rosie’s May tip of the month

3 May

-Make bouquets of lilacs while you still can!!
-Go on a days drive with your best friend.
-Hit as many church rummage sales as you can find.
-Rent “Neverending Story.”
-Make homemade lemonade, just be ready for a bit of a sugar high.
-Try to hear the breeze, meaning, “Zip your lip!” Go someplace, and just sit for awhile, then listen to the sounds around you. You just may be surprised at how “loud” silence can really be and all the pretty sounds you miss around you every single day. I went and sat in a park alone the other day. I listened to the wind blow the leaves of the trees for quite a long time. I even pretended I lived there and thought about climbing a tree, but i chickened out.

Love to you,
Rosie tosie

Hey Rosie! I heard you played at SPU, how was it? Someone said you’re an SPU alum? I would have loved to have been there.

Hope you received my letter via the folks in Nashville. Take care, Sarah

Rosie, just knowing you are out there making such beautiful music and being so damn funny, I’ve been thinking about the same stuff…..listening to the spaces between the words…….without them the words wouldn’t have meaning……..don’t know if you remember me but I am the esthetician from SkinLogic that moved back to Wyoming…….you gave me “These Friends of Mine” as a good luck gift…..I listen to it all the time among many of your other songs……thanks so much for being part of my life almost every day and all of your fantasticness……..come to Laramie and give a concert at The University of Wyoming…….you would totally sell out!
Blessings, Blessings, Blessings, and beauty to you always………..

I Run, Farewell, October… Great songs!

I’ll play some of your songs at my wedding. I hope life finds you well.

I can’t believe no one’s left any comments for you. I love to listen to the distant sound of traffic through an open window at night as I fall asleep. It reminds me of my grandmothers house in St Louis when I was a child. Although the tinnitus now detracts from the experience. And while riding my bike today I caught a whiff of flowers and almost ran off the sidewalk as I turned my head to see where the flowers were that smelled so wonderful. I was also mystified that I didn’t recognize these purple wild flowers to smell so good and they weren’t even thistles. I think thistles are beautiful and smell great. Once while in college a guy from the Department of Roads brought me a bouquet of them after I sold him some weed killer the day before at the hardware store where I work. I told him that killing the thistles made me very sad.
